HP announced the iPAQ 500 series Voice Messenger. The HP iPAQ 500 is a PDA phone running Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.0 OS. It is powered by a Texas Instrument OMAP 850 200 MHz processor with 64MB of RAM and 128MB flash ROM. With support for quad-band GPRS and EDGE, the iPAQ helps mobile professionals stay connected wherever they are.
The iPAQ 500 features a 2-inch micro-reflective LCD display with LED backlit. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity and has a microSD card slot for external storage. Intended for business users, the Voice Messenger comes with over-the-air device management capabilities that allow businesses to remotely manage and support the devices’ performance, security and access to applications, data and networks.
