Research In Motion (RIM) officially announced the BlackBerry 8800 Smartphone. According to the company, the sleek 8800 is the thinnest BlackBerry handset yet. It features a large 320×240 color display, and a singature BlackBerry keyboard with trackball navigation system.
The new BlackBerry supports quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE mobile networks. It also comes with built-in GPS support and is loaded wit BlackBerry Maps for providing driving directions. The phone also includes support for Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi.
The 8800 has also a media player supporting both audio and video playback. It gets 64MB Flash memory and a microSD card slot.
It will be available in FED 2007 via some carriers.
