LG and PRADA, the fashion maker, are going to launch in February this year the PRADA Phone (also known as the LG KE850). Instead of resistive touch display, the PRADA handset utilizes a capacitive touchscreen display for more smooth touch experience.
The stylish PRADA phone is super slim at just 12mm thick. It packs a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0 support and USB 2.0 connection. Its media player supports MP3, ACC, ACC+, WMA, RA as well as MPEG4, H.263, H.264 video files. There is also a Document Viewer for users to read Microsoft files (ppt, doc, xls, pdf, txt) and PDF files. The phone uses Flash UI.
The LG PRADA phone supports tri-band 900/1800/1900 EDGE network. It supports microSD for external memory. It will be available from select PRADA stores in the UK, France, Germany and Italy as of late February, 2007, then in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore from late March. Peoples in LG’s homeland, Korea, will be able to get the phone in Q2 2007. The price is about Euro 600.
