Finally, Apple announced the long-rumored iPhone in the MacWorld 2007. The iPhone features a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 at 160 ppi, a 2 Megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0. Instead of resistive touchscreen we saw on most phones on the market, the iPhone uses a capacitive touchscreen with multitouch support, redefining the way users interact with a phone.
As an extension of the Apple iPod, the iPhone has 4GB or 8GB of storage and it runs on OS X. To your disappointment, the iPhone is not a 3G phone but only supports quad-band GSM/EDGE network. The phone can have 5 hours of Talk time and 16 hours Audio playback. It measures 115 x 61 x 11.6mm for 135g. It will be available in June from Cingular.
