FujiFilm is going to ship its latest InfraRed Digital Camera, the Fujifilm Finepix IS-1. Replacing the FinePix S3 Pro UVIR, the camera is developed for use in the law enforcement, medical/dental and science fields, according to FujiFilm. It can be used in both the visible and infrared light spectrums, and is able to capture evidence not easily seen by the human eye to help solve crimes.
The IS-1 has a 9 Megapixel Super CCD HR sensor, 10.7x optical zoom lens, and ISO 80-1600. Thanks to the company’s Real photo Technology, the camera features a high sensitivity range to capture images using visible and infrared light. Picture Stabilization technology is also included to reduce camera shake.
The Fujifilm Finepix IS-1 will be shipped in February this year with price tag of $899.
