Pentax announces its new Digital SLR, the K100. The new camera sports a 6.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor and features CCD shake reduction system to compensate for camera shakes. It offers an ISO range of 200-3200 and features SAFOX VIII autofocus system with 11 focus points for a precision focusing, even if the subject is positioned off-center.
The K100D is capable of 2.8fps continuous shooting and includes Auto Pictures Mode for easy SLR photography. Its lightweight penta-mirror viewfinder provides a 96 percent field of view and 0.85x magnification. There is a 2.5-inch large display. It will be available in Japan at early July.
