NEC announced its µPD720200, the world’s first SuperSpeed USB 3.0 host controller. The controller supports the world’s fastest USB transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbpsm, that is 10 times faster than USB 2.0.
Thanks to the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard, it takes just 70 seconds to transfer 25 GB of video content on a blu-ray disc.
