Canon updates its EOS line<\/a> with the latest mid-range 70D digital SLR camera. The main features of the DSLR are its new 20.2 Megapixel APS-C image sensor and the newly-developed Dual Pixel CMOS AF phase-detection AF technology, According to Canon, all the effective pixels of the new sensor are able to perform both still imaging and phase-detection AF simultaneously, which are then utilized by the new AF technology to achieve improved AF performance during Live View shooting and when shooting video. The result is fast and accurate auto focus and high quality video close to camcorder.<\/p>\n

\nThe 70D also features DIGIC 5+ image processor and 100 – 12,800 ISO range to capture sharp, detailed images, even in low-lihgt. It also includes a 63-zone Dual Layer IFCL (Intelligent Focus, Color & Luminance) AE metering system, and is capable of high-speed continuous shooting of up to 7fps. With Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Movie Servo AF and EOS Movie Mode, the DSLR<\/a> can record high-quality Full HD video. There is a built-in stereo microphone for high-quality audio recording as well.<\/p>\n

The new EOS comes with built-in WiFi connectivity that allows users to sharing images and videos easily to other connected devices, including computer, tablet, smartphone, DLNA devices. Using the iOS and Android apps, you can also remote control aperture, shutter speed, and ISO of the camera. The 70D comes with a range of in-camera imaging features such as High Dynamic Range, Multiple Exposure, Handheld Night Scene and HDR Backlight Control modes, and seven Creative Filters for users to add creative touch when they are shooting.<\/p>\n

The EOS 70D works with full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses, much like the Canon s110<\/span><\/a> and the Dual Pixel CMOS AF, they are all compatible with 103 models of EF lenses. It gets a vari-angle 3-inch touchscreen and supports SD\/SDHC\/SDXC cards. Coming in September, the DSLR is priced at $1199.00 for the body alone and $1349.00 bundled with an EF-S 18-55mm f\/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens or $1549.00 bundled with the EF-S 18-135mm f\/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens.<\/p>\n
