Nikon launches its new FX-format AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f\/4G ED VR telephoto zoom lens. With a 70-200mm focal length, the new lens features a fixed f\/4 aperture for superior low light performance, which also allows you maintain a consistent exposure while zooming. It is the first NIKKOR lens to feature the third generation of Nikon’s Vibration Reduction (VR) technology with up to 5 stops of image stabilization to compensate for camera shake.<\/p>\n

The AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f\/4G ED VR is constructed from 20 optical elements in 14 groups. It uses ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass for optimum correction of chromatic aberrations and multilayer Super Integrated Coating on its optical elements. There is also Nano Crystal Coat anti-reflective coating to significantly reduce instances of ghosting and flaring. It sports Silent Wave Motor (SWM) to provide quiet and responsive autofocus operation. The lens has two focus modes, the M\/A (autofocus with manual override) and M (manual focus), for users to choose from.<\/p>\n

Coming in late November, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f\/4G ED VR will be priced at $1399.95. Nikon will also release an optional Tripod Collar for $223.95.<\/p>\n
