Bowers & Wilkins introduces its new A7 and A5 AirPlay wireless music systems<\/a>. Joining the Zeppelin Air, both new systems use Apple’s AirPlay technology for wireless audio streaming from iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computers running iTunes. They have glass filed ABS enclosure with black cloth grilles. Bowers & Wilkins A5<\/p><\/div>\n The A7 and A5 get the same design, but the latter one is more compact to fit anywhere in your home. The A7 sports two 1-inch 25W Nautilus tube aluminium tweeters, two 3-inch 25W mid-range drivers and a 6-inch dedicated 50W subwoofer, while the A5 packs two 20W Nautilus tweeter and two 20W mid-range drive units. They both come with Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) capable of up-scaling audio to 24bit\/96kHz, Class-D amplifier, Digital Signal Processing (DSP).<\/p>\n B&W’s A7 and A5 feature WiFi and Ethernet LAN port for network connection. They have no dock connector for charging iPhone\/iPod or direct connection, but provide 3.5mm jack for playback of other audio sources. The A7 also has USB port for music streaming and firmware upgrade.<\/p>\n The A7 and A5 will be released in October for $799.99 and $499.99, respectively.
