LG reveals its new flagship smartphone, the Optimus G (LG-F180) powered by Qualcomm’s SnapDragon S4 Pro quad-core processor. It is the first LTE device to get quad-core processor, thanks to the Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor that packs 1.5GHz quad-core Krait CPU, LTE capability, and the Adreno 320 GPU. Using LG’s new slim display panel, the phone has a attrative 8.45mm slim body, and comes with a glass back cover with polarized glass pattern for a clean, modern look.<\/p>\n

The Optimus G is equipped with a 4.7-inch 1280×768 True HD IPS touchscreen with 320ppi pixel densitiy, Stripe RGB IPS Panel and 100% coverage of sRGB colors. It is the first smartphone to use LG’s new G2 Touch Hybrid Display for touchscreen panels, which is slimmer than current touchscreen panels by integrating glass and the touch panel. The stylish smartphone sports a 13 Megapixel main camera and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera. Other than Bluetooth 4.0, GPS\/A-GPS and WiFi, the Optimus G also includes support for NFC, DLNA and MHL. It features Dual Screen Dual Play that not only mirror between the smartphone and a TV, and is able to display different content on each\u00a0 screen.<\/p>\n

The Optimus G comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It gets a high-density 2,100mAh battery\u00a0 for long hours of use. Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the LTE-enabled device includes serveral enhanced features such as Live Zooming for zooming in\/out while viewing a video, QMemo that allows users to write, draw, or jot a memo directly on the captured screen with their finger, Time Catch Shot that allows users to select and save the best shot among the images taken just before the ashutter button is depressed, and the Cheese Shutter that takes a photo when a voice command is spoken.<\/p>\n

A Japanese version of the Optimus G will first be released in Japan by NTT DoCoCo. International version will be launched in Korea in September, followed by other markets.<\/p>\n
