Along with the DROID ULTRA, Verizon and Motorola are also launching the compact DROID Mini. Basically, the MINI packs the same hardware specs as the ULTRA but in a smaller form factor. It has the same clean look and gets the same Kevlar composite unibody. Inside you can find Motorola’s X8 SnapDragon S4 Pro-based computing engine, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space.

The DROID MINI sports a smaller 4.3-inch 720p HD touchscreen and you’ll get a 10 Megapixel main camera and a 2 Megapixel front camera. Other features are pretty much the same as the ULTRA, including Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS/APGS, 4G LTE. However, the compact handset has a smaller battery of 2000mAh.

Verizon is shipping the DROID MINI on 29 August for $99.99 with a 2-year contract.
