Huawei made its super slim Ascend P6 official. At 6.18mm, the phone is claimed to be the world’s thinnest smartphone. The handset does look great with an elegant full-metal body, but its design may just make you think of Apple’s iPhone 5. Look at the back and the metal frame. Yet, Huawei gives you more choices of colors, offering a pink model, in addition to white and black versions.
Inside its metallic body, there is a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It gets a 4.7-inch 1280x720p in-cell LCD touchscreen display. For cameras, there is a 8 Megapixel camera with F/2.0 lens, LED flash and 4cm macro on the back and an unusual 5 Megapixel camera on the front for self-portrait and video chat. You can use the back camera to capture Full HD 1080p video as well. Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS, WiFi are all included.
The super slim Ascend gets 2000mAh battery and features Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) and Quick Power Control (QPC) battery optimization and power saving technology to improve battery life. It runs Android 4.2.2 with Emotion UI. Huawei will ship the phone in China in June and Western Europe in July.
