Following the Galaxy S4 Active and S4 Minii, Samsung introduces another varitant of the flagship Galaxy phone. Called Galaxy S4 Zoom, what you can expect is a smartphone and camera combo running Android operating system. The unit sports a 16 Megapixel CMOs image sensor, built-in Optical Image Stabilization and Xenon flash.
Samsung also adds the new Zoom Ring, surrounding the 10x optical zoom camera lens, which not only can be twisted to zoom in and out but also offers quick access to camera functions, including the In-call Photo Share feature that allows users to capture and send a image quickly during a call. To deliver the best camera experience, the S4 Zoom includes Smart Mode that normally found on Samsung’s camera, which allows users to capture high quality images easily. The Smart Mode Suggest will assess the scene and provide a list of best options for shooting. The camera is capable of Full HD 1920×1080 video recording.
As a smartphone, the S4 Zoom is, in fact, not as poweful as the original S4. Instead of quad-core chip, the device is powered by 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. Its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen features 960×540 resolution and there is a 1.9 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, AGPS/GLONASS and 802.11n WiFi are included. 8GB of internal storage is provided and there is a microSD expansion slot.
Samsung’s 10x zoom phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz and comes with S Voice, S Translator, ChatON. It will be available in 3G and LTE versions.
