Seagate has introduced its new Video 3.5 HDD, the industry’s first 3.5-inch 4TB hard drive built specifically for video applications. Ideal for use in DVRs, set-top boxes and surveillance systems, the drive can store up to 480 hours of HD content and supports up to 16 simultaneous HD streams or 20 standard-definition streams.
Built for 24×7 operation, the Video drive features an industry-leading reliability with an annual failure rate of just 0.555. The 3.5-inch hard drive uses SATA 6Gbps interface and operates at 5900RPM with 64MB of cache memory.
