Lenovo expands its ThinkPad line with a new model with an elegant floating design and a touchscreen display. Called, ThinkPad S431, the laptop is optimized for Windows 8 and is ideal for small businesses that need a do-it-all machine that combines performance and style.

The bevelled edges on the front and side give an illusion that the PC is floating and make the 20.5mm frame look even thinner, while the real aluminum cover is sand blasted and anodized for smooth touch and a premium feel. Lenovo said that the laptop’s progressive design will help small businesses impress their customer.

The multitouch touchscreen allows users to swipe, scroll and tap using their fingers, and the 180-degree open angle allows users to use the laptop in different modes. The 6-row backlit keyboard includes Windows 8-optimized shortcut keys and the five-button clickpad gets glass surface for smooth touch and supports Windows 8 gestures.
