HTC has launched in Hong Kong the Desire V entry-level Android smartphone. Featuring a design same as the Desire X, the V has similar hardware specs and features, including the lack of a front-facing camera, and adds dual-SIM capabilities that allows users to use two networks/numbers at the same time on one device. Only one SIM slot support 3G network though.
The Desire is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. The 4-inch touchscreen has 480×800 resolution and the 5 Megapixel camera gets auto focus, F2.8 aperture, and LED flash. Beats Audio is included to enhance sound output. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.
HTC’s Desire V is available in Hong Kong for HK$1898 (US$245).
