Following the Liquid E1 announced in China in late January, Acer just can’t wait to update the E-series, introducing the Liquid E2 for the Europe market. The new Liquid gets a new design, a more powerful processor and a better camera. A Dual-SIM model will be available in select market, allowing users to use networks or two numbers at the same time on a single phone.
Intended for multimedia users, the E2 sports a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, making it the first Acer quad-core phone with optional Dual-SIM. With 1GB of RAM, the phone should be able to run Android Jelly Bean smoothly. The zero-shutter 8 Megapixel camera features LED flash and BSI image sensor and is able to record 1920×1080 Full HD video at 30fps. You can take up to 8 pictures per second by simply holding down the camera button. There is also a 2 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Its 4.5-inch qHD touchscreen uses IPS LCD technology for wide viewing angles.
The quad-core Liquid supports Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS/AGPS connectivity. It also features a dual-speaker system with DTS Sound enhancement for users to enjoy music with best sound. You can use the phone on Quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band HSPA mobile networks. Its 2000mAh battery offers up to 9 hours of talk time and 450 hours of standby.
Acer will release the Liquid E2 in Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Russia in mid-May at Euro 229. Rock Black and Classic White versions are offered.
