Phone makers keep trying to make their products stand out, and here comes Verizon’s newly announced Pantech Perception with a 3D gesture sensing technology. Called Motion Sense, Pantech‘s new technology is similar to Samsung’s Air View. It allows users to answer a call by simply waving a hand over the hand. You can also wave hands to scroll through contacts, skip a track, or a find a picture from library. This feature is really useful when your hands are occupied.
The Perception sports a large 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel camera, 2 Megapixel front-facing camera and 16GB of onboard storage. The handset should be shipped with a SnapDragon S4 Plus dual-core processor. It supports 4G LTE mobile network and is Global Ready with support for GSM network.
Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the phone will receive upgrade to Jelly Bean soon. Camnote app is included for users to capture and save their notes, which can be shared with others easily. The Perception with Motion Sense is available for $99.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.
