Panasonic has just announced in the UK the latest addition to its high-end compact camera range, the LUMIX DMC-LF1. With a lightweight and compact body, the premium shooter managed to pack a range of advanced features to deliver high quality images. It offers complete control over photography and includes WiFi and NFC for instany sharing of images and videos.
The LUMIX LF1 sports a 12.1 Megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor and a new 28mm-200mm 7.1x zoom F2.0 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens, providing high performance, even in low-light conditions. There’s also Venus Engine to further enhance performance and image quality and Panasonic Noise Reduction and Edge Smoothing systems to minimize distortion and noise. 1920×1080 50i Full HD videos can be recorded in AVCHD Progressive or MP4 format, with stereo sound.
Other than the Intelligent Auto (iA) mode, the camera also offers P/A/S/M modes and comes with a Control Ring at the base of the lens barrel for easy manual control of aperture, shutter speed and zoom, with minimal movement. The premium LUMIX also include Creative Control and Creative Retouch with 15 filter effects, such as Sepia, Dynamic Monochrome, Impressive Art, High Dynamic, Toy Effect, to transform shots into artistic images. In the Creative Panorama mode, you can apply 13 of these effects to panorama shots.
With WiFi and NFC connectivity, images and videos can be shared easily. You can connect the camera to your NFC-enabled smartphone/tablet with a simple tap. Images and videos can then be shared between devices easily and quickly, and uploaded to social networks. Using Panasonic’s Image app, you can even use mobile devices as a remote controller to view, zoom, focus and shoot. You can even utilize WiFi Direct to stream images to DLNA-capable VIERA HDTVs. There’s also GPS chip to add geotag images and videos.
The camera has a 3-inch LCD display and a 0.2-inch electronic viewfinder. It uses SD/SDHC/SDXC card for storage and provides micro HDMI output.
