Huawei is launching in its home country another large-screen smartphone, the A199 with a 5-inch display. Built for China Telecom, the handset supports CDMA 2000 EVDO 3G as well as GSM network for dual-mode mobile reception. It runs the latest Android 4.1 operating system and features Huawei‘s Emotion UI.
The A199 sports the same HiSense K3V2 quad-core 1.5GHz CPU as the Ascend D2, and gets 2GB of RAM. The 5-inch IPS touch display has 1280×720 resolution and supports multitouch. There are a 8 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS connectivity are included.
8GB of internal storage is provided and there is a microSD card slot for expansion. The phone measures just 8.9mm thick and weighs 160g. For RMB 1999, the A199 is a decent choice if you are looking for a new smartphone.
