When most USB speakers on the market are using USB 2.0 interface, Gigabyte is trying to make its new GP-S3000 speaker stand out with the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface. According to the Taiwanese peripheral marker, the use of USB 3.0 900mAh connection, instead of 500mA USB 2.0, allows 1.5 times more power for the bass, delivering a more powerful and impressive listening experience.
Like other USB speakers, the plug-and-play S3000 – the world’s first USB 3.0 speaker – only needs a single USB cable for power and audio connection and does not need a driver. The speaker system offers a total of 4.5W RMS power with 150Hz – 20KHz frequency response. The touch panel allows users to adjust volume easily. Other than USB, there are also line-in, microphone and headphone jacks.
Gigabyte’s USB 3.0 speaker is available in black and white.
