Korean phone maker Pantech has just announced its latest flagship smartphone under the name Vega Iron. The new Vega packs a powerful processor and a huge display with the world’s smallest 2.4mm bezel. It has an endless metal frame and iron metal antenna. The phone runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with Pantech’s custom UI.
The Vega Iron (IM-A870S/K/L) is powered by a Qualcomm SnapDragon 600 1.7Ghz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Its 5-inch in-cell touchscreen has a 1280x720p HD resolution. The 13 Megapixel main camera is capable of Full HD video and the 2 Megapixel front-facing camera is good for self-portrait and video chat. Both cameras use CMOS image sensor. The handset supports Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. It works on 4G LTE network as well.
Pantech’s new flagship comes with 32GB of onboard storage and you can also add a microSD up to 32GB. A 2150mAh battery is included. The bad new is this Vega Iron is intended primarily for Korea, but we still hope Pantech can release variants for other markets.
