Canon adds to its imageFORMULA Scan-tini a all-new model, the compact yet powerful P-208 personal scanner. Ideal for managing and organizing personal documents or a small or mobile office, the compact, lightweight scanner can convert a variety of documents, such as receipts, business cards, photographs, bills and contracts into digital files and information that can be searched, stored and shared easily.
The P-208 Scan-tini features a speed of up to 8 pages-per-minute and a max resolution of 300dpi. It includes feature to help optimize and enhance images of scanned photographs and comes with built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for converting paper-based documents into digital information. The device is also capable of scanning both sides of a document at the same time.
The Plug-and-Scan scanner uses a single USB cable for PC connection and power, and connects to a computer without the need for drivers and applications. Using the included Canon CaptureOnTouch software, users can scan directly to cloud services such as Evernote and Google Docs.
Canon also launches the optional WU10 Wireless Adapter and Battery Pack that makes the scanner truely mobile. With the adapter, the Scan-tini works with not only Windows and Mac, but also with mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Android devices, using the free downloadable Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile app.
