Yamaha releases its PDX-B11 portable Bluetooth speaker for music lovers who want to enjoy and share music on the go. Not just compact and lighweight, the speaker features a rugged road-ready design with a built-in metal handle for easy carrying. With a octagonal body with a chrome-finished grille, the portable speaker looks unique.
Using Bluetooth technology, Yamaha’s B11 can stream music wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled devices, including iPhone, iPad and Android devices, and it can automatically re-connect to the last device it played. To deliver a full-range Yamaha sound, the portable unit is equipped with a two-way system with a 4-inch cone woofer and a precise tweeter. It also supports AAC codec for enhanced sound quality. In case your audio device doesn’t support Bluetooth, you can connect it to the speaker via 3.5mm audio jack.
The PDX-B11 can be powered via AC outlet or six batteries for portable use. It comes in black and grey and is priced at $179.95. Yamaha has also launched the PDX-11 that has a iPhone/iPod dock but has no Bluetooth support.
