Accessories maker Scosche launches the controlFREQ (model SCDBTA60), a Bluetooth car stereo receiver with wireless app control that allows you to use your smartphone as a wireless remote control. With the free app installed, iPhone, iPod touch and Android smartphones can be used control the system easily and stream music wirelessly.
The controlFREQ is a full-featured car stereo featuring built-in CD player that supports CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 CD playback; USB port and SD card slot for directly playback of MP3 files from portable media device or memory cards; and RDS-enabled AM/FM tuner. With Bluetooth, the receiver can also stream music wirelessly from Bluetooth A2DP-enabled devices. There is also a front AUX input for connecting any portable audio player. Hands-free calling is also possible via the built-in microphone.
The free controLFREQ app for iOS and Android allows users to use their smartphone for wirelessly control. The app allows users to change between tracks and MP3s, switch between audio sources, select integrated EQ presets for optimized sound, all being done wirelessly.
