Dell expands its XPS line with the all-new XPS 18 with a hybrid design that combines an all-in-one PC with a huge tablet. Basically, the XPS 18 is a portable all-in-one PC that can be easily moved around the house and used as a tablet for watching movies, playing games and surfing the web. Weighing just 4.85 lbs, Dell said the new XPS is the world’s thinnest, lightest and most portable AIO.
The XPS 18 features a 18.4-inch Full HD touchscreen display with 10-point multitouch and it comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. With a flexible design, the portable AIO can be used in several ways – as a normal AIO PC on the optional powered stand, on any flat surface using the built-in flip-out feet; laid flat for sharing and gaming; or held on your lap for reading and browsing. Its aluminum back finish with soft grip provides comfort and traction.
Dell’s XPS 18 is powered by up to Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive, and the base model will sport dual-core Pentium ULV processor and a 320GB hard drive. Starting at $899.99, the portable AIO/tablet hybrid will be released on 16 April in the US and select countries in Europe.
