Motorola Solution, another half of the original Motorola that focus on enterprise and government solutions, introduces the new MC45 mobile computer for field-based mobile workers to handle customer relationship management (CRM), sales order entry, inventory management, proof of delivery, direct store delivery…etc. The rugged unit is the company first solution to include support for mobile data network.
Designed for field working environment, the MC45 features true field durability. Meeting the MIL-STD 810G standard, the device can withstand 5-feet drops and operate in -10° C to 50° C temperatue range. It is also IP64 rate for waterproof and dustproof.
Motorola’s is powered by Qualcomm MSM7627 600MHz processor and 256MB of RAM and runs Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 Professional Edition. It has a 3.2-inch touch display, a 26-key numeric keypad and a 3.2 Megapixel camera that not only takes photos but also decodes 1D/2D barcodes. It also comes with a laser scanner with Adaptive Scanning 1D scanning technology to serve scan-intensive data capture environments. It supports Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and 3.5G HSDPA connectivity to keep workers connected. GPS is also supported to provide real-time directions.
The MC45 has 1GB internal storage and supports up to 32GB microSD. It is priced at $1345.
