While Lava Xolo may have made its name with the X900 Intel-powered Android smartphone, the company’s latest handset utilizes Qualcomm’s chip instead. The new A500 is a mid-range device boosted by a dual-core 1GHz SnapDragon MSM8225 processor with 512MB of RAM. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich system.
The Xolo A500 has a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen and supports Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and WiFi connectivity. The 5 Megapixel camera has a single LED flash for taking pictures in the dark and there is a VGA front-facing camera for video chat. The phone includes dual-SIM support so you can have two numbers in a single handset, but only one of the slots supports 3G HSDPA mobile network. 4GB of internal memory is available for user and microSD card be added for additional storage space.
The Xolo A500 is available in India for Rs 6,999 (US$130).
