Nikon adds two new 1 NIKKOR lenses, the VR 6.7-13mm and VR 10-100mm, for its Nikon 1 System cameras such as the new J3 and S1. The former is a compact wide-angle zoom lens ideal for ravel, architectural photography, indoor shooting and the latter is a telephoto lens great for taking landscapes and group shots, portraits and extreme close-ups.
The 1 NIKKOR VR 6.7-13mm lens is a compact, ultra wide-angle zoom lens with a focal length of 18mm to 35mm in FX/35mm format. It features a wide 100-degree angle of view that is ideal for taking photos and HD video of landscapes, cityscapes, interiors. The 1 NIKKOR VR 10-100mm, on the other hand, has a 100-100mm 10x zoom range (27mm to 270mm 35mm equivalent) that allows you to capture a wide range of shots. Both lenses feature Vibration Reduction to compensate for camera shakes, and are built using Aspherical lens elements to eliminate lens aberration. They also sport ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass to deliver optimum correction of chromatic aberrations. To deliver a great optical performance in a compact body, the VR 10-100mm uses High Refractive Index lens to compensate for both field curvature and spherical aberrations.
The VR 6.7-13mm and VR 10-100mm 1 NIKKOR lenses will be available for $499.95 and $549.95, respectively.
