Pantech‘s Discover is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor. It sports a 4.8-inch 1280x720p HD touchscreen display and a 12.6 Megapixel main camera with HDR shooting and 1080p Full HD video recording. There is a 2 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat as well. Along with Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and WiFi 802.11b/g/n, the handset also includes NFC for users to share content easily with friends, read smart tags and pay for goods and services with a simple tap. DLNA is also supported for media streaming.

The Discover also packs dual 3D surround sound speaker with treble enhancement, bass boost, loudness maximizer to deliver a dynamic, full-bodied listening experience. If 16GB onboard memory is not enough for storing music, you can add a microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. The phone runs Android 4.0 and comes pre-loaded with Easy Experience Mode that prioritizes customers’ apps on the home screen in a clearly organized and easy-to-read format, and AT&T DriveMode, an app designed to help prevent texting while driving.

AT&T will be selling the Pantech Discover on 11 January for $49.99 with a 2-year contract.
