Ever imagine a toilet can serve as a soccer goalkeep and save goals? Here comes TOTO’s Toilet Goalkeeper, a collaboration between TOTO, a Japanese toilet and sanitary ware maker, and toto, a legal organization in Japan that organize and sells Sports Promotion Lottery. As you can see in the video below, the Super Great Toilet Keeper (S.G.T.K.) just saves every goals shoot by Japanese legendary striker Dragon Kubo.
Sharing the name and the attitude towards the contribution to the environment, they join hands to launch the TOTO/toto Green Collaboration Project promotion campagin to inform customers about their efforts towards the environment, and the S.G.T.K. is the ambassador of the campagin. The toilet goalkeeper is able to calaculate the final destination of the ball in under 0.1 second, thanks to a motion analyzer with two high-speed 250fps camera. It will then tilt with its super high-speed motor and fire a small ball out to block the incoming soccer ball. It is said that the S.G.T.K. is able to process and react to balls shot at 160km/h.
The bad news for soccer teams and the good news for strikers is that TOTO and toto are not planning to manufacture/sell the Toilet Goalkeeper, as it is developed only for promotional purpose.
