U.S. Cellular is launching the Motorola ELECTRIFY M, a new 4G LTE smartphone. With similar features as the DROID RAZR M for Verizon Wireless, the new ELECTRIFY comes without aircraft-grade aluminum frame and Kevlar fibre, yet it still comes with a splash guard coating. Like the RAZR M, it sports the a 4.3-inch virtually borderless edge-to-edge touchscreen display with 540×960 qHD resolution. The Super AMOLED Advanced display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The ELECTRIFY M is boosted by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. Its 8 Megapixel main camera has auto focus, LED flash, is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording and HDR shooting; and there is a 1.3 Megapixel VGA front-facing camera for video chat. The handset supports Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, and WiFi connectivity. It comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and is upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Motorola’s ELECTRIFY M supports CDMA 800/1900/1700 and LTE Bands 2/4/5/12 mobile networks. It comes with 8GB of internal storage. You can get the phone from U.S. Cellular starting 8 November at $99.99 after $100 mail-in rebate in markets where U.S. Cellular offers 4G LTE service and elsewhere at $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.
