EchoStar introduces a new HDX-410, a hybrid DVB and IP set-top box running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The new solution can receive DVB TV broadcase and offers access to IP-based entertainment including games, apps and on-demand content. Of course, you can also use the HDX-410 to play media files from local storage, USB storage devices, microSD card and even from home network. It supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, WM-9/VC-1 AVC VP6, AAC, MP3 media formats.
The EchoStar HDX-410 is powered by a dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It offers Ethernet LAN port and supports WiFi 802.11n wireless connectivity. It has a USB port on both front and rear panel and you can add USB hard drive for recording TV programs. You can find HDMI 1.4 output and 10-pin Mini DIN A/V TV out. The Android set-top box has 4GB of internal storage and comes with a 2GB microSD card.
Running Android 4.0 ICS with Adobe Flash Player and web browser, users can use it for watching online video and surf the web.
