As part of of Samsung’s new ATIV range, the new ATIV Tab is a Windows RT tablet. Designed with a classy hairline finish, the tablet is slim at 8.9mm and lightweight at just 570g. The 10.1 device is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of memory. Running Windows RT, a version of Windows 8 for ARM devices, boots instantly and comes with Office Home and Student 2013 RT, offering Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote applications.
The ATIV Tab sports a 0.1-inch 1366×768 touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, a 1.9 Megapixel front camera, and micro HDMI output. Along with Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Glonass, and dual-band WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, the Windows RT tablet also includes support for NFC and offers Tap+Send file sharing feature. It comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage and supports microSD/SDXC up to 64GB.
The ATIV Tab comes with a 8200mAh battery to provide an extended use. The tablet has USB host port and is compatible with Windows-based PC devices and accessories, such as printers, keyboard, mouse, USB storage devices.
