Along with the Windows RT ATIV Tab, Samsung also brings the ATIV Smart PC (aka Series 5 Slate in the US) and ATIV Smart PC Pro (Series 7) tablet PCs running the latest Windows 8 operating system. Offering Windows 8 functionality, the two Smart PCs also provide full Windows 7 compatibility. They come with a detachable keyboard dock that allows users to switch between a clamshell notebook PC and a tablet PC form factor, offering great mobility with maximum productivity.

Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro

The ATIV Smart PC is powered by Intel’s Atom processor, 2GB of RAM and 128GB flash memory while the Pro model packs Intel Core i5 CPU, 4GB memory and up to 256GB SSD, and both of them use integrated Intel HD graphics. The former features a 11.6-inch 1366×768 touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel rear camera with flash, a 2 Megapixel front camera, and the Smart PC Pro gets a 11.6-inch touchscreen with 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a low resolution 5 Megapixel main camera and a 2 Megapixel front camera. Other than multitouch with your fingers, both tablets carry Samsung’s Wacom-powered S Pen with 1024-level pressure sensitivity to deliver real writing and drawing experience. The S Note application is pre-loaded to make writing and drawing simple.
The mystic blue ATIV Smart PC and black Smart PC Pro both support Bluetooth, and WiFi 802.11b/g/n as well as 3G or 4G LTE network connectivity. They have USB port (USB 3.0 for Smart PC Pro) microSD expansion slot and micro HDMI output. The Smart PC offers up to 13.5 hours of battery life, and the Smart PC Pro runs up to 8 hours.
