Right before announcement of Galaxy Note 2, Samsung introduces another big-screen smart device, its new Galaxy Player 5.8. You can call it a big-sized portable media player or a small tablet. Looks like a over-sized Galaxy S III, the new player comes with a huge 5.8-inch touchscreen with 960×540 resolution for users to enjoy movies and videos on the go. You can also find twin speaker grills on the front.
The Galaxy Player 5.8 has 16GB and 32GB internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC expansion up to 32GB. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n as well as GPS and DLNA AllShare for wireless media streaming. It gets a 2500mAh battery to provide long hours of media playback and internet. The player runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. It comes pre-loaded with Samsung’s Chat messenger and the new Learning Hub.
