Klipsch refresh its Quintet home theater system, introducing the fifth generation model with “significant technological refinements guaranteed to raise the bar in the all-in-one home theater category once again.” The newly engineered 5.0 system includes four 50-watt satellite speakers and a dedicated center channel speaker with 300-watt peak power, which are built with durable, high-quality components.
Each of the speakers utilizes new 90-degree by 90-degree Tractrix horn, which is designed to expand both placement flexibility and the main listening area. The Tractrix horn is accompanied a lightweight aluminum tweeter to creative efficient driver with no distortion. Linear Travel Suspension is also included to reduce distortion and enhances dynamics. Also, an new long-throw injection molded graphite (IMG) woofers enable powerful output.
The Klipsch Quintet speakers are housed in cabinets made of professional AcoustaComp material that is naturally dense, rigid and durable. The Quintet comes in satin and brushed black finish. It will be available in September for $549.99.
