Olympus will release on 31 August the new STYLUS SP-720UZ long zoom digital camera. While its brother SP-820UZ iHS gets 40x optical zoom lens, the 720UZ is equipped with a 26x optical zoom lens with 26mm wide angle. The 14 Megapixel camera has a compact form factor that fits in the palm of users’ hand, which is ideal for travellers. It features CMOS sensor shift and digital dual image stabilization for capturing blur-free, clear images.
The SP-720UZ supports high-speed continous shooting at 5fps at full 14 Megapixel resolution. It is also capable of Full HD 1920×1080 video recording with Linear PCM audio recording and h.264 compression. The long zoom digicam provides 3D Photo shooting mode and will save the image in MPO 3D data format and JPEG format. It also includes Beauty Mode with Makeup function that allows users to apply full makeup to people’s faces in images with 17 different effects after shooting. Other features include iAuto mode, Face Detection, HDR backlight adjustment, in- camera panorama and scene modes.
The STYLUS SP-720UZ comes with a 3-inch LCD display and provides HDMI output. It comes in black and silver and is now available for GBP 174.
