Alongside the prosumer P7700 and Android-powered S800c, Nikon also brings the CoolPix S01 ultra-compact digital camera. With a super mini camera form factor measuring 3.1×2.1×0.7 in, the S01 is small enough to fit into a user’s pocket, making it easy to carry. It boasts a 10.1 Megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom NIKKOR lens and EXPEED C2 image processing engine for smooth operation. Electronic VR is included for blur-free images.
The palm-sized CoolPix comes with a 2.5-inch touchscreen and features an easy to use touch user interface for intuitive and streamlined operation. By tapping a subject, the shutter is automatically released when focus and exposure are fixed while various image effects set prior to shooting can be applied to pictures. The Easy Auto Mode also makes shooting beautiful photos easily, and there are six scene modes. Simple in-camera retouching functions are included.
The CoolPix S01 can record 1280×72-p HD video. It will be available in September in red, white, silver and pink for $179.95.
