Chinese company Xiaomi, developer of MIUI, introduces its second smartphone, the Xiaomi Phone 2 (aka Mi2) that promised to deliver graphics performance comparable to Xbox. What makes Xiaomi such confident is the phone’s Qualcomm APQ8064 28nm quad-core 1.5GHz processor with Adreno 320 graphics that is capable of handling 3D gaming and Full HD video playback. It also packs 2GB of RAM for super smooth performance.

The Xiaomi Phone 2 features a 4.3-inch IPS touchscreen with 1280×720 resolution, delivering a 342ppi pixel density, which is even higher than the iPhone 4/4S. It has a 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash and 2 Megapixel front-facing camera. Not only the main 8Mpix is capable of 1080p Full HD video recording, the front camera can also do that. The Mi2 supports Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11n with WiFi Direct and WiFi Display, as well as GPS/AGPS and GLONASS.

The new Xiaomi Phone comes with 16GB of internal storage, but there is NO microSD slot for expansion. The handset runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with custom MIUI interface on top. It will be released in October for RMB1999 (US$315).
