Nikon CoolPix S800c Android Digital Camera

Nikon announced its smart camera, the CoolPix S800c digital camera running Android operating system. With built-in WiFi connectivity and Android, users can connect and upload photos to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Just like a smartphone or tablets, you can also utilize full functionality of Android system and use camera-specific photo and video applications, making use of a real camera.

The S800c sports a 16 Megapixel backside CMOS image sensor, a 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 25mm wide angle and EXPEED C2 processing engine for rapid response and speedy performance. It records Full HD 1080p video with stereo sound and includes built-in GPS for geotagging photos and videos. You can find ISO 125-3200 sensitivity, Scene Modes, and in-camera image editing functions such as quick retouch, 18 filter effects and D-lighting. It has HDMI output.

As Nikon said, using the S800c is like using an Android smartphone or tablet, and the camera gets a 3.5-inch OLED touchscreen for using the system. Coming in September, the Nikon CoolPix S800c comes in black and white and is priced at $349.95.
