Sony quietly put its Xperia SL smartphone on its official website. As a minor update to the Xperia S, the upcoming Xperia SL upgrades the 1.5GHz dual-core processor to 1.7GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 dual-core processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Other features are basically the same.
The Xperia SL sports the same 4.3-inch 1280×720 HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12.1 Megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R for mobile CMOS sensor, auto focus and LED flash, NFC support, aGPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It is capable of Full HD video recording and comes with a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The Xperia SL also includes HDMI output, DLNA support and FM radio.
Walkman application and xLOUD sound enhancement are also onboard. It is PlayStation Certified as well. The SL will be available in black, white, silver and pink.
