
Creative Sound Blaster ZxR
Creative brings three new high-performance Z-series Sound Blaster PCI Express sound cards – the ZxR, Zx and Z. All of them are powered by Creative’s Sound Core3D quad-core sound and voice processor and feature SBX Pro Studio technology and high quality component to deliver enhanced audio performance. They also deliver clear online voice communications with beam-forming microphone array and CrystalVoice communications technologies, such as Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Voice Focus, Noise Reduction and Smart Volume.
The flagship Sound Blaster ZxR aims at providing the best gaming and entertainment audio performance in any sound cards. It is equipped with studio-grade components, including external digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that deliver 127dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), sockets for swappable Op-Amps, a high-end 80mW into 600 ohm headphone amplifier, and 192kHz pass through. It also comes with DBPro daughter board to provide optical output. There are also professional-grade 123dB analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with RCA Aux-in and optical input for outstanding recording quality.

The ZxR also comes with an external Audio Control Module (ACM), providing a built-in dual-microphone array and mic/headphone I/O connections. To ensure realistic cinematic audio playback and gaming experience, you can also find SB Speaker-Calibration feature, DTS Connect and Dolby Digital Live.
Creative’s Sound Blaster ZxR is available for $249.99. If you don’t need the DBPro daughter board, you can get the Zx for $149.99. The $99.99 Sound Blaster Z, without DBpro and ACM, gets an external dual-microphone array instead. The ZxR and Zx will be available in December, and the Z will be released in October.
