iRobot introduces its Roomba 600 series of vacuum cleaning robots. Like other Roomba robots, the 600 series uses three-stage cleaning system to vacuum carpets, tile, laminate and hardwood floors. It features AeroVac technology to optimize airflow and an improved brush design to deliver maximize cleaning results, with less hair remaining tangled on bristles and a more evenly filled bin.
With the iAdapt Responsive Cleaning technology, the Roomba 600 vacuums every section of your floor multiple times. The Direct Detect function uses an acoustic sensor to find dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them. Users can add Virtuall Wall barriers to create an invisible barrier that Roomba won’t cross, keeping Roomba to a particular room or area. As an automatic cleaner, the Roomba will automatically return to its Home Base to dock and charge when it finishes cleaning or when the battery is running low.
Two models are currently available, the Roomba 630 and the Roomba 650. They share most of the features and the latter adds onboard scheduling that allows you to preset up to seven times per week for Roomba to clean. The Roomba 630 and Roomba 650 are priced at $399.99 and $349.99, respectively.
