Following the original xPrintServer Network edition for office, Lantronix introduces the xPrintServer Home Edition intended to bring iOS printing to your home. Basically, the device connects to both your USB printer and network router, bringing your printer to your home network for printing from iOS. With this little box, you can now print pictures, webpages or documents to a USB printer wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
Lantronix said that the xPrintServer is optimized for USB printers and there are no apps or software needed for iOS printing. Using a USB hub, xPrintServer allows you to add up to 8 USB printers to your network, and it supports thousands of printer models from major brands including Canon, Epson, HP…etc. The device is priced at $99.95.
