HP launches its first commercial Internet monitor, the Passport 1912nm, an easy-to-manage multimedia system that provides direct access to web content. Targeted businesses such as hotels, airports, the 18.5-inch 1912nm has a web interface to provide direct access to the Web, music, photos and video, without the need for a computer. With integrated 4-in-1 card reader and five USB ports, you and view your files from an SD card or USB flash drive.
The Passport 1912nm features 1366×767 resolution, 200cd/m2 brightness, 600:1 static contrast ratio and 5ms response time. It is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP4430 and 1GB DDR2 RAM and comes with 2GB flash memory. The 1912nm is slim and tilt-able.
Business just need to connect to the Ethernet and add keyboard and mouse, and the monitor are ready serves customers. It is priced at $259.
