Motorola adds to its RAZR line with the newest RAZR V XT889 for China Telecom’s CDMA EVDO 3G mobile network. The new RAZR variant has a KEVLAR fiber shell with a splash-gard nano coating for splash/spill-resistance. Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Motorola said it is a smartphone built for all situations.
The RAZR V features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display with scratch-resistant glass and a 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video recording. Its front camera lets you take pictures of yourself and have video chat easily. The XT889 comes pre-loaded with Motorola’s user interface and the Smart Actions software that, according to Motorola, learns your behavior and automatically adjusts settings to suit your preferences and extend your battery life. It will silence your phone as soon as you reach the office, and start playing your playlist as you plug in your headphones. Instead of physical/touch-sensitive buttons, the RAZR V uses on-screen Android keys at the bottom of the screen, just like Google’s Galaxy Nexus.
