MetroPCS launches a new 4G LTE smartphone, the Activa 4G (model HWM920) which is Huawei’s first 4G LTE phone in the US. Available for $149 contract-free, the Activa 4G is an entry-level smartphone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The phone is powered by a 800MHz processor and GCT’s GDM7240 single-chip 4G LTE solution.
The Activa 4G sports a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 5 Megapixel camera and a front-facing camera for video chat. The phone comes with 151MB of internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC memory card up to 32GB. It comes bundled with a 4GB card pre-loaded with King Fu Panda 2. The LTE phone supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity as well.
