Lenovo expands its U series Ultrabook with the new 13.3-inch IdeaPad U310 and 14-inch U410 models. Both of them are powered by up to 3rd gen Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor with integrated Intel graphics or optional dedicated NVIDIA graphics. These new models are relatively more affordable, but as a trade-off, they are thick and heavier. The U310 measures 18mm thick and weighs 1.7kg while the bigger U410 comes at 21mm thick and 1.9kg.
The IdeaPad U310 can be equipped with up to 500GB hard drive and up to 4GB of RAM while the U410 gets up to 1TB hard drive and 8GB of memory. Both of them can be equipped with up to 32GB optional SSD for data cache to deliver fast boo-up and quick resume from sleep. They support Bluetooth and WiFi and come with 720p HD webcam, and Dolby Home Theater v4 with stereo speakers. There are also USB 3.0 port and support for Intel’s WiDi wireless display technology. They deliver up to 9 hours and 7 hours of battery life, repsectively.
Lenovo’s U310 and U410 Ultrabook have aluminum shell and are available in multiple colors. The starting prices are $749 for U310 and $799 for U410.
